Factor in AMC cost and, crucially, local service quality: across reviews, delayed installation and unresolved complaints were the single most common grievance for every legacy brand.
Warranty and the 'no-service' model
Newer entrants (Native by Urban Company, Atomberg) offer 2-year filter life with 'no service for 2 years' and even unconditional replacement warranties — attractive if you hate AMC hassles. The flip side seen in reviews: when a unit is genuinely faulty, remote/app-first support can be slow to send a technician. Legacy brands (KENT, Aquaguard) have wider physical networks but charge more for consumables and get mixed service reviews.
